My new site! www.Savingmomsmoney.com

I wanted to invite everyone to a new site that I am working on called Saving Moms Money. I will be posting daily deals, freebies, coupons and contests. Drop by and let me know what you think.

I have become hooked on saving money ever since I started saving 50% off my grocery bill by using coupons. I also became amazed at the amount of free products available online. My family gets something free in the mail almost every day, from small shampoo samples to full sized products.

I made this site to help other Moms save money and get some nice surprises in their mail boxes the same way my family does.

YouData = Free Money!

One of my NEW favorite ways to earn some money is through YouData. You make money viewing advertisements that interest you. I earned $4.31 my first week, and they pay every Friday through paypal. Some weeks I only make .50 and others between $1-3 it just depends how many ads are available each week. This is virtually free money because you really aren't doing any work! This has been great extra money that ads up quickly to buy books for my son on Ebay!1. Create a Free Account. To become activated in their system they will ask for your cell phone number to send an activation code by text message, But don't worry YouData will never give out this information, and will NEVER spam you. This one message is necessary to validate that you are a real person and to make sure people do not set up mulitple accounts.

2. Fill in survey information about yourself so they can pick ad's that interest you, your in control. The more survey's you fill out about yourself the more ad's you will get, which means more money for you!

3. View Ads! You can either login to view the ads or download their desktop applicator to view them from your desktop!

4. Pay day Friday! YouData sends your weekly earnings to your paypal account. If you don't have one you can create a free paypal account, from there you can transfer the money to your bank account or send checks to your home address!

Pros: Free Money! The ads are actually interesting! Pays every Friday!
Cons: None!

Mystery Shopping

I Have been experimenting the past week with Mystery Shopping and is becoming one of my new favorite ways to earn money. A Mystery Shopper is someone who works for a market research company to measure the quality of service at a restaurant, retail store, bank, car dealers etc. There are 100's of legit Mystery Shopping companies out there. Remember you NEVER should pay a company to be a mystery Shopper. The shops pay anywhere from $7-25 each and will often reimburse you for food or even purchases! I did my first few this week for a popular fast food chain, after the "shop" I filled out a review/report form online and scanned in my receipts. Below is a list of a few companies to sign up for to get you started:

About Face
Beyond Hello

Check Mark, Inc.

A Closer Look, Inc.

Customer Perspectives

Epinion America

IntelliShop

Mystique Shopper

Primo Solution

Restaurant Cops

Service Sleuths

Trend Source

Pros: Work when you want, Free Food, Free Merchandise, Easy money
Cons: Reports can be long, Jobs can go quick!

QuickTate

*Update: I personally found the pay too low for the amount of work you do, the messages come through on your computer and sometimes it takes a long time to transcribe them since the person may not be talking clearly or they are talking too fast. It is still an okay job to do when you want a break from ChaCha, KGB or writing.
QuickTate is a service that transcribes your voicemail and personal notes into simple text messages. QuickTate hires typist to transcribe the messages as they come in and pays per word transcribed. I applied a few weeks ago, but due to the large amount of applications they receive, there is a waiting list for applicants that can extend about 3 months. Although I am not off the waiting list yet, others that currently work for QuickTate say it is an easy and fun job that brings in some extra money each month.

Textbroker.com

If you enjoy writing there are many sites that you can make money writing articles. I personally have experience with Textbroker.com, but others include Associated Content, and Helium. For Textbroker.com you submit a writing sample to apply, which in return is graded to decide what you will be paid. From there you can pick from a list of articles that fit into your qualifications. The earning potential can be high if you write many articles, but if you are like me and only enjoying writing something that interests you, you may not make as much money.

Pros: If you enjoy writing, this is easy!
Cons: Writing opportunities go fast, pay is low.

KGB - Just Hired!

*Note: I did not continue past training, I found the training to be too long and intensive for the amount of pay they were offering (.10cents a question), but it still may be a good opportunity for others!
I just passed the test and was hired by KGB this afternoon! KBG is not the Russian Soviet Intelligence but rather the Knowledge Generation Bureau. Like ChaCha, you send a text question to KGBKGB (542542) and receive an answer in minutes.

Visit the KGB website to take the test to see if you have what it takes to be a Knowledge Generation Bureau Special Agent! Let me warn you, it took MANY attempts for me to pass the hiring test, there are a lot of tough questions in there (like Math questions!). Once I complete the training and start making some money I will report back with what I think.

Check out one of KGB's commercials

Weegy

I have been using Weegy since November as a way to make a little extra money. Like ChaCha, you answer questions for $.20 each. Weegy does not have the kind of traffic that ChaCha has, so don't expect to make the big bucks fast. What is neat about Weegy is that there is an attractive African American 3-D women that speaks what you type to the info seeker. This adds a little something extra to the Weegy experience making it a little more fun. I usually leave the weegy website open in the background as I do other things online. When a message comes in you will hear a ding alerting you that a question is available. You can ask Weegy a question for free or you can pay Weegy to conduct more in depth questions. You can get paid through paypal once you hit $20, this took about a month for me. Go to weegy.com to ask a question or apply today!

Pros:
Very Easy Money!
Cons:
Does not have steady traffic yet, some days you can make good money others days you can't!

Surveys

A great way to make some extra money on the side is by taking surveys. These will not pay your rent but is great for extra gas or grocery money.

What I enjoy about SurveySpot and Inbox Dollars is that you know how much money each survey is worth(They do NOT use a garbage point system) and they are emailed right to your inbox (No need to keep checking a website!)

Survey Spot

Survey Spot is my favorite survey company, they offer numerous surveys worth between $1-$50 each. I have made about $20 in a month and a half for surveys that I qualified for (based on your demographics) The survey's I took were not terribly long and were actually quite interesting. There is a $5 minimum cashout sent by check. They also send communispace recruitment emails (a community that pays you in paypal/amazon..GREAT GIG to get)

Inbox Dollars

Inbox Dollars is another easy way to make money that is delieved right to your email inbox (hence the name). You can get paid .50 -2.00 per survey, paid to play games and also paid to read email advertisements they send to you. You can request a check at $30.

ChaCha

I heard about ChaCha months before I decided to apply to be a ChaCha guide. I was skeptical about the company and answering questions for only .10 to .20 cents seemed like more work than it was worth.I decided to give in and give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. ChaCha can bring in a nice little income!

How does ChaCha work?
People Call 800-2ChaCha or text 242242 (chacha) a question and get the answer as a text message in a few minutes. Questions can be anything from weather and driving directions, relationship questions and occasionally the extremely odd such as Do animals get hemorrhoids?(Incase you need to know, 4 legged animals DO NOT). The job is fairly easy and can be fun at times! What is nice about ChaCha is that you can login online to ChaCha's website and work whenever you want. This job is perfect if you have a small child as you do not need to work a set schedule. The only problem is that I would be terribly embarrassed if someone decided to look at my browser history.

Pros: Fun, No Set schedule, Payment options, You always learn something new!
Cons: ChaCha's reoccurring technical problems(can cut into your pay!)

Check ChaCha's website regularly to see if they are hiring. Also text ChaCha a question (242242) to get a better idea of how they work. The service is free, only standard text message fee's apply through your carrier, if you have any!

Ebay

My first work at home money came from Ebay! Ebay is a great way to make extra money and you can start by selling stuff around your house. I started by selling duplicates I received from my baby shower and then moved onto garage sales and outlet malls. I have made about $1000 since October 2008. Where I find items to sell that works for me:

Your Home
Sell anything around your home that has not been looked at for months. Pre-pregnancy Clothes, toys, baby clothes, even broken digital cameras or printers sell on ebay!

Garage Sales
Research online what sells, Gymboree, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren sell great! I have sold infant Ralph Lauren Jeans I purchased for $1 and resold for $15! Every once in awhile you can get lucky too! I bought old Beatles records for $.10 each and sold for $60! What is nice about garage sales is if you make a mistake and buy something that does not sell you arent losing out on that much money since you only paid .50-$1.

Outlet Malls
Do you live near an outlet mall? Luckily I live in Florida where there are plenty. I have bought Designer purses heavily discounted and have made $50-$100 profit on each one.

Pros: Can be Great extra Money, Bring baby along shopping

Cons:
Unpredictable income, Ebay & Paypal fees, addicting

Work at Home Challenege

I left my full time job following the birth of my son in May 2008. Looking into my precious baby's eyes, I could not imagine leaving him at a day care in the care of people that do not love him.

My goal is to be able to work from home to help supplement my family's income. I stalk work at home message boards, jobs openings, as well as research all of the opportunities I come across. I will post my experiences in finding work as well as the opportunities I come across.

Comments are always welcomed, and if you have any leads let me know and I will post them!
